You're right, I am unhappy. BUT, I'm considering two options. 1) Go to Sprint. They have the Nexus now and they'll give me $160 for my old one. That means I only pay $40 for the phone (the same phone I just sold, but still, better than paying $199). 2) Just buy all my phones at full retail price (they've stated that if you do this, you get to keep unlimited). This is actually the way I will probably go. Sure it'll end up costing more but Verizon's network is too fucking good to just leave. Maybe when Sprint lights up their LTE near me I'll switch but they may not have unlimited data still.
