New shave soap!

So I've been just using the shave soap that came with my shaving bowl. It's Col. Conk Lime Glycerine Shave Soap:

It gets the job done and smells pretty good, but I always thought that I could never get a good enough lather (compared to what I've seen from videos). Well, it turns out that I was probably right. On the suggestion of Sawsheezle, I decided to purchase Van Der Hagen Men's Luxury Scented Soap:

After just one shave so far, I love this soap. Not sure if it's just me or what but it definitely lathers A LOT better than the Col. Conk. The scent is nice but very subtle. When I finish shaving a section, the skin underneath feels cool and refreshing. It seems to moisturize a little better too. Overall, the quality of my shave (in terms of closeness of shave, stubble, etc) didn't seem to be any different but the feeling of my skin afterwards felt better and not as dry as opposed to when I used the Col. Conk. Definitely glad the Sawsheezle finally talked me into buying it. I give it 4/5 stars. (The Col. Conk I would give 2.5/5)
