ReplyDeleteMy favorite might be Villain's, but that place is also pricier, so I would put it in a restaurant category rather than a hamburger stand category.
ReplyDeleteI have been to Billy Goat Tavern, there is one across the street from my office. I like the place a lot. It is a really straight hamburger stand. The food is simple and regular and cheap, and they have a bar with cheap drinks.
Gay means fancy, organic, and trendy in this context.
Straight means a good midwestern hangout.
