It is springtime down here in southern AZ (we actually have two springs in a year) and I am thinking about fantasy baseball again. I believe RyDub and Capital_Prototype are interested as well. This year we will have to change it up big time.
Possibilities for change
1. New host site
2. Less teams (I am thinking 6)
3. Do we keep head to head matchups?
4. Completely overhaul the points system.
5. Change roster sizes and positions for the better.
6. More passion.
I have been watching "The League" a lot this week and it has changed my life. Is it possible to have that kind of a community for fantasy baseball? Can we have that awesome of a message board? I want that.

Definately need to limit the participants to only those with extreme amounts of passion. Capital_Prototype, RyDub and Sawsheezle are the only three that come to mind. We probably represent the core, then we should get a Taco and a Paul Scheer and we are golden.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have a crazy little brother, I could nominate my brother, but he doesnt have internet, which is probably a plus as far a taco's persona. Any suggestions on Paul Scheer?
Can we make a bot, like a computer team, it will be an equalizer and a commont threat.
It will be impossible to create a The League league without all residing in the same city.
In choosing extra players the first thing they need is passion, that is the number one component. Then we should make sure they spend at least 4 hours a day on the computer. Then they should know about baseball.
We can always iron out point systems and roster sizes, which of course need tweeking. I still say we need to find a host that allows weightings.
I completely agree. RyDub and I are looking into possible new places to play. I will work on the statistics and weighting system which we can discuss at a lter date.
