Snowball Fight

I have a video game on my phone where I challenge other kids to snowball fights. This game also has items that you can buy. One of these items is a rock. The rock does twice the damage of a snowball. I think that a rock would do more than twice the damage of a snowball, I think that it should do four times the damage of a snowball.

  1. Is the rock placed inside the snowball? because

according to physics, that would decrease the damage dealt.

But it should still be like 3 times the damage.

  2. It will actually depend on a lot of things.

The simplest assumptions to make are that the snowball and the rock are both solid objects with infinite material strength (they can't be squished).

The next assumption is that they are both spheres.

Also, the kid can throw them at the same speed.

Then the difference in force felt is simply a ratio of the masses.

Does a rock weigh 4 times that of a snowball? Maybe.
