Apple has mastered the art of withholding features on its product, in order to rebrand and sell consumers those new features. In an article available here:

the journalist explains that for an upgrade of $9.95, users' iphone or ipod touch will be able to do such revolutionary mundane tasks as cut-and-paste.
Wow, talk about a "smart" smartphone!

Not that I like supporting apple, but you got your argument mixed up a little.
ReplyDeleteIphone(smart phone) upgrades for free.
ipod touch(mp3 player) costs 10 dollars.
Either way the upgrade will be essential if you want the new programs that will use the new features, so I don't feel like this is an optional upgrade.
Windows mobile has been able to cut and paste for like a decade(pocket pc's).
Kinda funny the amount of time it took apple.
