So that NFC payment thing isn't going to be supported by the Nexus (at least google's version anyway). So the camera is that great, the NFC payment option we are getting isn't what we were expecting, no USB mass storage support, no micro sd car slot. Why I am getting this phone again?

I didn't know it didn't have a micro sd slot. Whatever. 16gb is enough. Just use google music or something. And, it appears that you don't need USB mass storage support.

Read more on MTP here.

Also, the article says that the nexus will not 'include' google wallet. I'm sure you will be able to install it from the market. Verizon does not have that much power. Also, just root the bitch and you can install anything you want.
I think ICS looks awesome and the phone should be pretty baller with it.
SD Card: I'm pretty sure the 32gb model will be the $300 priced one... at least i hope. It'd be in line with the 32gb iPhone 4s for $300 so it'd be ridiculous not to be. This is more than enough space. Hell, even 16gb will be good. ANYTHING will be better than my 250 MB(!) of internal on my OG Droid so i'll be happy.
ReplyDeleteGoogle Wallet: Just download the GoogleWallet.apk and push it to your phone. They can't block that. It seems like it's just blocked on the market (which i think is bullshit how they have ontrol to do that but whatever, there's very easy ways around this).
USB Mass Storage: As for MTP, yeah, it'll be fine. Except if you're using a Mac and then i laugh at you anyway.
Camera: Really the only issue i have and again, i'm sure it's better than my OG Droid's camera so i'll be happy.
capital_prototype nails it on the head. Just some manufactured drama from me as I enter finals week.
