I personally don't see the purpose of netbooks yet. Right now they are basically shitty computers that can run a web browser. Why would anyone purchase one of these when they could get a laptop that does so much more.
Right now, microsoft based netbooks cannot run office07, making them pretty much worthless(unless you just want to check your email in a park).
I do however think in the future, when programs run off of a server and not your personal computer, and you don't need a lot of computing power, netbooks will be awesome.
