capital_prototype's special day!

Let us celebrate capital_prototype on his special day by remembering a time when he bested Sawsheezle. A long time ago after seeing the (then) new Justin Long vehicle "Accepted", Sawsheezle made the prediction that Adam Herschman who played Glen was going to be the next big thing. He was going to be the next Jack Black if he was given roles up to his caliber thought the young Sawsheezle. Upon hearing this, capital_prototype scoffed and countered that it would be Jonah Hill who would explode and not Herschman. Five years later, it is clear that capital_prototype was right. Jonah Hill got his shit together and went from being morbidly obese to just very obese and has found himself in many movie-films since. Sawsheezle remains humbled by this.

News update: Adam Herschman is starting to find some roles for himself. Perhaps the story isn't over just yet?

A Dark and Vengeful Cloud God?

There is a new article on yahoo! claiming that a website called "Box.net" is the next big thing. In summary, it is a website that lets you upload documents to it so you can access them from anywhere in the world. What a novel and inventive idea that has not been done before (psych). Here is an actual quote from the article:

"Box users upload various documents and other content to the company's computer centers. Storing information this way, a concept often called "cloud computing," means it can be called up on any device with an Internet connection. That makes it easier to share with co-workers and other people."

I can't understand why this is new. I think that for this to be happening in such a messed up political/economic time as we are in implies that Cloud God may not be entirely pure love and energy, but rather could be a dark and vengeful god.

Clouds

I looked up cloud computing on wiki for cloud god worshiping and it compared cloud computing to an electricity grid.

Now I am just imagining everyone explaining new technologies like IT people.

Well you see, you will just plug your electrical device into your wall. And you see, it like connects into this cloud. And from the cloud you will get electricity to run your electrical device!

You know how you like to watch a person speak at a public event, or maybe you like going to see your favorite singer perform, well now you take this radio and plug it into you wall. It will connect into this cloud and deliver that entertainment via clouds!

You know how you used to have to go to boring plays? Well now you can buy this thing called a television, and it will connect to the clouds and the cloud god will deliver entertainment right to your home, right from the clouds!

Oh mighty cloud god! We are not worthy, we are mere mortals! Tell us, how many thousands of goats can we sacrifice to thee?

Gettin' The Cloud Band Back Together

Hey, I just bought an acoustic guitar and I want to make a cloud band where we make a few songs via clouds. The nonexistent google wave would probably be a better channel for a project of this nature. I will play rhythm or back-up acoustic guitar.

Traffic Light on FOX

Have you guys seen the new show on FOX called Tarfiic Light? It's pretty good. Kinda cool because it's "based in Chicago" and they "went to U of I." Nelson Franklin (The Office, Scott Pilgrim VS The World) is hilarious.

Synopsis from the site: "MIKE (David Denman), ADAM (Nelson Franklin) and ETHAN (Kris Marshall) have been friends since college, and the trio has seen each other through highs and lows. Now in their 30s, these men find themselves at very different stages in their lives.

Mike is a married lawyer who wants nothing more than to be a good family man to his wife, LISA (Liza Lapira), and his young son, but he's also desperately trying to carve out a little space for himself. Lisa understands this, which is why their marriage is a loving game of give and take.

Adam recently moved in with his girlfriend, CALLIE (Aya Cash), and is learning how vastly different "she comes over a lot" and "she lives with me" really are, especially when his girlfriend is an adventurous, straight-talking firecracker.

Ethan is the perpetual bachelor. He loves women, and when he's in, he's all in - at least for three weeks. Charming, genuine and hopelessly independent, Ethan is finding out that as he gets older, the pool of women who are willing to take things day by day is rapidly evaporating. Luckily, he has CARL, his beloved, long-suffering bulldog."

Thoughts

Finally saw inception last night. Pretty cool movie. The thing that is cool is that there is several ways to interpret the movie as a whole. Interesting.

Today the University of Arizona plays Washington at home in Tucson. The game is on ESPN at 5pm CST. This game is going to be awesome so watch if you can.

Finalized league scoring methodologies will be done by the end of next week.

What if ....

What if you could play a fantasy baseball game so much more realistic and correlated to real results than anyone else? How about a league where Runs, RBIs, Wins, and Losses don't matter? A league where the good player no longer bears the weight of his crappy team on his shoulders or where the bad player benefits from his team's abundance of left handed hitters. The numbers are being crunched. The time is coming. A new era in fantasy sports is about to begin. The only question you have to ask yourself is "am I alpha enough to play ball?".  ToddyHollandsworths fantasy baseball coming soon to a PC near you!

This year will be the best ever! I hope you guys would like to give it a shot again.
