Rather than rehash what I've read elsewhere here, I will provide the following link.
In summary the bigger our plates, the bigger our bowls, the more we eat.
It's interesting how things we probably never gave much thought to (dinner plates), can result in us over eating.
Now, with smaller bowls, when I look at the calories per serving on the back of a box of cereal, for example, my serving size might be just a little bit closer to the one on the box.
