I recently took up running to try and get my fitness on/lose weight.
I purchased a digital watch so that I can track my times, see picture below.
I would be interested in hearing about some runner tech.

ReplyDeleteIt's a watch made out of an android that goes on nature walks with the clouds.
Also cost like 250 bones.
Link for the above comment

ReplyDeleteI liked the tracking your iPod does, what all can it do?

Very cool. I have been interested in a watch to time my runs too. capital_prototype, does your watch have any sorter of pedometer capability to track distance?
ReplyDeleteIt does not. I use Google maps to plan out my runs and will use this watch to time them and the splits. I also plan on heading out to a high school track to take a mile time to track progress and for harder speed work outs printing 400s.
ReplyDeleteI spent roughly $30 on this watch and wouldnt spend a whole lot on higher tech gear unless I prove to myself that Im taking it seriously enough to warrant it. I think you can get nice watches with promoters in the $50 price range though. I also love what technology can do such as the garmin watches that automatically upload your runs to your computer and track your routes via gps.
Just use your smartphone. Buy a nice sleeve band and you should be set. They have gps built right in and plenty of app options for tracking.
ReplyDeletejust my 3 cents
Also rob, hurry up with that aeropress review. I want to buy one sooo bad.
ReplyDeleteThat would be the obvious solution.
ReplyDeleteOk, I was going to wait for a 25% off coupon from the triple B though.
