Brothers?
I think we should remake the Darjeeling Limited with Herschman, Labine, and Black (known from here on out as simply HLB) starring as the three brothers, but instead of the movie being serious (I still have never seen it even though I saw it in the theater) it is instead a hilarious adventure film. I think it could still take place on a train in India/Indiana, but we will see. Anyway, I just wanted everyone to know that HLB is a guaranteed blockbuster trio waiting to happen.
Are you man enough to make this happen?

Justin Bieber Fuels Rockies?
This is what I got when I followed Saywer's Matt Garza link:
"After Rockies shortstop Troy Tulowitzki began the season 0-for-8 in his first two games, he swapped out one pop song (Katy Perry's "Firework") for another (Justin Bieber's "Baby") -- and in his second at bat of game No. 3, he homered. In fact, since making the change in music, Tulowitzki has hit .393 with three doubles and five home runs."

Matt Garza sucks right?
Some thoughts on Matt Garza from Joe Lemire on SI.com.
There are 108 pitchers who have thrown enough to innings to qualify for the leaderboard on rate stats -- i.e. one inning per team game played -- so it's tough competition to be No. 1 in anything, but Matt Garza is tops in four (admittedly related) categories. He has the highest strikeout rate (14.2 K/9); the highest batting average against on balls in play (.541); the best FIP (0.61), which stands for Fielding Independent Pitching and adjusts ERA for defensive performance; and is tied for the lowest HR rate (with 27 other pitchers). Furthermore, Garza is also tops in hitters swinging outside the strike zone (47.1 percent) and in hitters making contact within the strike zone (96.4 percent).

So when Garza pitches in the zone, he gets hammered, but when he pitches outside the zone he gets guys to swing. Should he only throw balls?

Opening Day Remarks
Ok it is even more clear to me now that Bud Selig needs to be fired. Opening day sucked. Why was it on a Thursday? Why were there only 6 games being played? It was 40 degrees in New York and Cincinnati yesterday. Why are we starting the season so early? Again, I ask that we get rid of the playoffs so we can open the season two weeks into April and still cut short the length of the season so it doesn't go into November. Opening day should be on a Saturday and every team should play I believe. Nonstop baseball would be amazing. Fire Bud Selig. Elect Sawsheezle.
