DVD Player Advice

I was going to run the following idea past DieselFur's expert panel. My current dvd player is actually a Playstation 2, which is nearing a decade old now, has been refurbished or fixed a few times along the way, and is having problems reading a plethora of new and old dvds at this stage of its advanced age. I am sure I need to take the plunge and buy a new dvd player.

Now I know I said I wasn't giong to buy a dvd upconverter, but I have been shopping around for dvd players for the past two and a half minutes and this looks like the best deal. I realize that I could visit any number of old pawn shops, rummage through dumpsters, but I just need a quality dvd player and have decided to make it a brand new dvd player (okay, Jessica did).

Well, speak now or forever hold your peace, or speak now or speak later.

  1. buy it, even though you can't use the upconversion, you will have it in when your tv becomes a decade old and you have to get a new one

  2. Agreed. Note that if you buy from Tiger Direct, which is the link I saw, then you will have to pay shipping and IL sales tax. Just a heads up.
